Amman, February 2016 - Further bolstering its position at the forefront of IT security solutions, OFFTEC - a subsidiary of OFFTEC Holding Group (OHG) - co-hosted an event on Tuesday 15 March, 2016, with its partner, McAfee - a wholly owned subsidiary of Intel - at the Sheraton Amman Hotel. The event aimed at demonstrating McAfee’s latest security strategies and components, which are currently available through OFFTEC. Nearly 50 people were in attendance, comprising chief information officers, chief technical officers, and technical and security managers representing the public and private sectors.

As part of the in-depth session, OFFTEC explained how to gain enterprise security visibility and block advanced threats through McAfee’s security information and event management (SIEM) solution and intrusion prevention system (IPS). OFFTEC also highlighted the new security features of McAfee, which help enhance users’ productivity and enable them to gain visibility into advanced threats, taking control of the threat defense lifecycle with technologies that communicate and learn from each other in real time to combat advanced threats and deliver insights with actionable threat forensics. Additionally, the event presented Advanced Threat Detection (ATD), a dedicated appliance that identifies sophisticated, hard-to-detect threats by running suspected malware, and assessing the potential impact the malware may have on an endpoint and a network.
