In an effort to provide the Jordanian public with the knowledge necessary to choose a secure burglary safe, OFFTEC – a subsidiary of OFFTEC Holding Group (OHG) – hosted an informative event entitled, ‘How Safe is Your Safe? How to Select Your Safe’. The event, which was held on Monday 4 April, 2016, at the Sheraton Amman Al Nabil Hotel, was attended by a diverse audience of businesspeople, including jewelers, designers and representatives of banks, foreign exchange companies and major organizations, as well as several security-minded individuals.

During the event, a physical security consultant with more than 40 years of experience presented on a variety of subjects, such as why to buy a safe, balancing price value and quality value and common tools of attacks. He also covered the differences between certified and uncertified (also known as graded and non-graded) burglary safes, highlighting the difference in quality between the two, and demonstrating the superior features of certified OFFTEC burglary safes in comparison to other uncertified options on the market.

Following the presentations, attendees witnessed a live safe attack, in which two safes, one certified and another uncertified, both underwent break-in attempts using a variety of different tools. The demonstration showcased the disparity in security levels offered by the two safes, illustrating how difficult it is to breach OFFTEC’s certified safe as opposed to the ease of entry of its uncertified counterpart.
