Amman, October 2016 - OFFTEC – a subsidiary of OFFTEC Holding Group (OHG) – invited children and teenagers from Save the Children’s Jordan chapter, to witness the Kingdom’s U-17 women's national football team in action. The children eagerly attended the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Jordan 2016 kick-off, which took place on Friday 30 September, 2016, at Amman International Stadium.
This step aligns with OFFTEC’s corporate social responsibility toward the less fortunate members of society, as well as with its efforts to gather around Jordan’s hosting of one of the largest sporting events ever witnessed in the region, representing a historic national achievement. OFFTEC granted the children the opportunity to join thousands of spectators and football fans in cheering on Jordan’s U-17 women’s national football team amidst an atmosphere of fun and excitement.
OFFTEC is confident that the children’s attendance of the tournament will inspire them to engage in sports, which greatly contributes towards the development of their physical capabilities, strengthening their social skills and encouraging them to hold onto their dreams, so that they may become future champions.
